Game Sprite Work

* Most of the artwork presented was produced for various community modding projects for the indie rhythm game known as Friday Night Funkin, which requires assets and characters that typically "bop" or dance to the beat of whichever track plays in the background.

TERMS OF SERVICE

This page houses my "Terms of Service", i.e. what I, the artist, have for boundaries on work, how commissions typically function, and various other pieces of important information.

"Generative AI" Terms

I explicitly do not consent (and never will give consent) for my art to ever be put into an AI training algorithm of ANY kind, whether it be for AI "art" generation, or AI music generation. If the client is ever to do so, they will be directly violating my ToS and will no longer be able to commission me in the future.

Payment Terms

I hold any and all rights to reject a commission offer if it is something that I, the artist, do not feel comfortable making. When purchasing a commission, there must be either FULL PAYMENT for the the piece upfront, or a
50 / 50 PAYMENT, where you pay for half of the commission beforehand. I do not start work on an art project unless I am payed with either of these methods. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If the commissioned artwork is for any commercial product, merchandise, or anything of the such, I simply ask for a 45% cut of the earnings. If this is an issue, I am open for discussion.

Crediting Terms

Please do not claim any commissioned work from me as your own, simply "credit" me by either linking or tagging one of my social accounts if you intend on making the work public. If it is a more-so major project, I also want to be credited for the work I produce for the project.

Commission Cycles (Artwork)

Artwork commissions go through a three-stage process, with the first stage starting after payment is sent.

There are places where revisions can be made, but note that near the end of a commission cycle any major changes may not be possible without an increase in payment.

Stage 1: Initial Sketch

I will send over the initial art sketch based off of what information I was given.

Up to two revisions are allowed in this period, with major adjustments being acceptable.

Stage 2: Line Art Pass

After the initial sketch is approved, I will polish up the artwork and send back a flat line art pass of the piece.

Up to two revisions are allowed in this period, with little wiggle room for major adjustments.

Stage 3: Final Pass

Once the line art is approved, I move on to the last stage of the commission, being coloring and rendering (if applicable). If the client had just requested line art, then the line art stage would be the final pass.

Very small adjustments are allowed in this period, with no room for major adjustments.

Commission Cycles (Music)

Music commissions go through a three-stage process, with the first stage starting after payment is sent.

Music commission revisions and adjustments are encouraged in the early stages of the music piece, but aren't nearly as encouraged near the end of the commission cycle. If the client wishes to have more adjustments made near the end, they will need to discuss more payment.

Stage 1: Initial Sound Pass

I will send over an "initial sound pass", which entails how the piece might sound, along with a basic beginning structure of the song.

Up to three revisions are allowed in this period, with major adjustments being acceptable.

Stage 2: Structure Pass

Once the initial sound pass is approved, I move on to the structure pass; where I create the full (or nearly full) demo track. This is so we can come to an understanding on how the piece will flow, and if the client has any issues with anything from instruments to how a particular section sounds.

Up to two revisions are allowed in this period, with some wiggle room for major adjustments.

Stage 3: Final Pass (Render)

After the structure pass is approved I move on to finishing up the production, cleaning up the mix, adding a more complex sound, etc. Once the music is finished, I can export it in any format the client requests.

Very small adjustments are allowed in this period, with no room for major adjustments.

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Jaiden / Exo_Bonez, and I have been doing visual design since roughly 2019 in various Adobe Creative Suite programs, whether it be Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Adobe Animate.I have a huge passion for art, and have been indulging in various mediums for as long as I
can remember; whether it be music production, graphic design, or something as simple as sketching out concept art, I'm enthusiastic
for it all.
My favourite media is mainly anything that has zombies, or role-playing games!

* Game Assets (Sprites) are assumed to be animated with symbols, which in Adobe Animate is a term used for a reusable asset, that you create once and can use multiple times throughout an animation. This is usually seen used in titles such as Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theatre, and Friday Night Funkin. If the client desires "Frame-By-Frame" animation, I will simply hand draw each frame for the asset opposed to reusing a drawing I'd establish earlier for the sprite. This addition does not apply for pixel art.

"I've been working with Bonez for a couple months now and ever since the first interaction they've been a joy to work with! Even though their task for our project is mainly graphic design, I can clearly see they're a jack of all trades when it comes to pretty much everything! from 2d to 3d art to music and sound design, it's honestly incredible to even watch them work at times! I've had nothing but a great time while communicating with Bonez and I'm really glad they are a part of our team right now. I am 100% sure that for whichever project they get invited for, they'll be a great person to have around."- Fox (Co-Director, V.S. Camellia)

"I have known Bonez for like 8 months. She's been contributing to our project Miracle CTF and she’s shown that she can work great in a team as well as designing and helping us out with characters and UI. She’s very good at getting our ideas out onto paper and effectively translating those ideas into visual concepts."- lilSpooky/Josie (Co-Owner, Potshot Poultry)

"Bonez/Jaiden is amazing to work with! Proper communication goes a long way, and they have that. They exhibit great professionalism and communicate well when working with a team. I see them constantly working with the coders in my project to ensure that their art/UI assets function properly. They properly communicate any issues that they may have with any aspects of the project in a timely and professional manner. They continue to show massive potential with each contribution that they make to our project.
Their talents vary from a wide range; from drawing art, to making music, and to graphic design, they have been very helpful.
Working with Bonez/Jaiden has been/is a pleasure, and I am confident that anyone who decides to invite them to their own project will find that they've found not only a great asset, but also a great person to work with."

"We had brought Exo_Bonez/Jaiden on in late 2022 to assist with pixel art for Troubleshootin', a small indie rhythm game project. Since then they've gone on to do background work, thumbnail assets and non-pixel art character sprites. They've also assisted with art assets used in 'Fatality Invasion Mix V2', where they created thumbnail assets and the logo used for the song.Could not recommend them more, they're pretty diverse when it comes to art styles."
